I. Downhole Pumps:
Production from petroleum wells can be increased with use of downhole pumps; ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) and PCP (Progressive Cavity Pump). In terms of application, control and efficiency, these pump systems have certain advantages.
When ESP or PCP pumps are utilized at gas wells, brine/water production can reduce the fluid column to reduce pressure at gas reservoir depth to lead to a higher gas production.
II. Surface Pumps:
With centrifugal surface pumps, petrol, water and liquefied gasses can be efficiently transferred or reinjected back in designated wells. In comparison to other surface pump technologies, centrifugal pumps provide smooth and continuous flow, which reduces stress on surface pipeline.
According to well conditions and operation requirements, production, transfer and re-injection pumps can be designed to maximize benefit of the operator. Increase in benefit-cost ratio can be achieved and reported with periodical optimization studies.
III. Turboexpander:
With the utilization of Turboexpander into gas pressure drop processes, a great amount of electricity can be generated in a continuous and sustainable. The application can be used especially in natural gas pressure drop stations, at gas distribution lines and for hydrogen or other gas liquefaction processes and gas or dry air cooling needs.
While a waste energy resource is recovered to generate useful and clean electricity, lower pressure and temperature requirements of following processes are provided to save from energy consumption. Obtained energy can be used internally within the operator’s facility, stored to be used later or sold to the grid, from which the company could secure operational and financial benefits.
